AMBP - Qld, Inner Northern Busway Alliance The Inner Northern Busway is a US$273M project in the city centre of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.
Construction began in June 2006, and completed in 2008. The project extends the city's busway and will help to cut peak hour travel times on public transport by up to nine minutes.
The project was built by Leighton Contructions, with Austral Monsoon being awarded the task of designing, planning and manufacturing the roller shutters.
Austral Monsoon successfully delivered and installed the shutters on time and on budget with quality exceeding expectations.

The Project was built by Brookfield Multiplex. Austral Monsoon - Erskine Park, NSW Austral Monsoon have just completed its role in the $39 Million Erskine Park project by Hansen & Yuncken. Austral Monsoon manufactured, supplied and installed 76 Steel Shutters at the facility Austral Monsoon - Penrith, NSW Austral Monsoon are also nearing completion on the Kimberley Clarke Distribution Centre project in Penrith by Buildcorp and ESO Surveyors. The entire project is estimated at $42 Million and Austral Monsoons role is to manufacture, supply and Install approx 54 Steel Shutters.
Austral Monsoon - Western Australia To show the versatility of the AMI Manufacturing Group, Austral Monsoon completes the first delivery of some highly specialized electrically operated truck shutters designed for the booming mining industry in Western Australia. The Truck Shutters were designed to suit both vertical and horizontal configurations.
Lietzke Australia - SA, Preferred supplier to Dept of Corrective Services Lietzke Doors is the approved manufacturer to the South Australian Department of Correction Services and have been supplying Jail Doors, Frames and Door Units for several years. In April 2008 Lietzke delivered Ten Door Units to the Pt Lincoln Prison for their kitchen upgrade and in May 2008 Lietzke delivered 30 of 100 Level 1 Prison Doors to the Pt Augusta Prison.
AMBP - Canberra, ACT AMBP has just completed one of the latest prison projects supplying and installing high security steel windows and louvre products for PBS Builders and Bovis Lend Lease worth over $2 million. The project also included prison cell and other high security doors manufactured by Lietzke Doors.
AMBP - Penrith, NSW AMBP has been awarded a new contract with Richard Crookes Constructions for over $900 for operable elliptical louvres and fixed louvres for the Penrith Government Office Building
AMBP - Blood Bank, Kelvin Grove To demonstrate AMBP's extensive manufacturing capability, AMBP are currently working on and installing projects all over Queensland which includes areas as far north as Cairns, Mackay, Townsville as well as Brisbane.
Some of the significant projects Austral Monsoon Building Products have recently completed in conjunction with Baulderstone Hornibrook are for the Blood Bank. The project at Kelvin Grove utilised a combination of AME100 louvres and purpose made folded steel Louvre blades similar to our AME60 Louvre blades.
AMBP - Griffith University AMBP have also recently commenced work on the 1st stage of the Griffith University project, we have installed the steel supports to take purpose built architectural mesh screens to provide sun shading to the building, the project also incorporates some of our standard AME100 and AME60 Louvre products.
AMBP - Laing O'Rourke, Gold Coast On the Gold Coast we have just completed the installation of an architectural screen with 175mm ellipsoid blades the screen 5m x 5m, this was pre fabricated in our Brisbane manufacturing plant and transported to the site, then lifted into position on the external face on level 13 of the Eleysee project on the Gold Coast for Laing O’Rourke as the main architectural feature of the project. All products used on this project have been custom designed in house to meet the clients specific requirements for architectural features, sun screens and louvres.
AMBP - Queensland Government, Brisbane AMBP have also recently installed a substantial quantity of high quality steel shutters on a number Queensland Government Projects including the Brisbane Inner City Bypass Tunnel and the Inner Northern Busway Project.

Ohio - United States Austral Monsoon Industries appoints new President Raymond H. Van Gunten III (Ray) has been appointed President of Diamond Roll-Up Doors Inc. by the directors of Austral Monsoon Industries. Ray is a local resident of Findlay, Ohio and comes to the company to provide long-term commitment, responsibility, and leadership. He will provide additional energy and direction needed to ensure quality and commitment to the customer, especially with the establishment of the Dover Roller Doors USA division of Diamond Roll-Up Doors Inc.
Ray has been a building contractor for the past 18 years, building high quality custom homes and offices. His experiences will provide the necessary insight towards organization, discipline, design, and production; especially in the architecture roll-up shutter arena. Prior to this, he flew the A-7E and F/A-18 onboard the USS Midway and USS Constellation as a Navy pilot.
He graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Resources Management. Ray is married (Jeanne) with three children (Erica, Michael, and Kaitlyn). The eldest is a school teacher in Findlay, his son is currently serving in the U. S. Navy, and his youngest will be attending Morehead State University on a golf scholarship. Ray is also an avid golfer.
