Pivot windows can rotate in either horizontal or vertical planes. The pivot line can be central to the sash or off-set depending on customer preference. Maximum height 1400 mm – Maximum width 1200 mm. They can be integrated with Fixedlight windows and glass door systems.
The uniqueness of the pivot window is the ability to rotate the opening sash to the room inside for cleaning. They are especially suitable for those larger applications where open-out windows would be oversized.

Pivot windows are suitable for both domestic & commercial applications offering good ventilation, a distinctive style and ease of cleaning.
GLAZING
Frames can be designed to provide internal or external glazing installation. Glass type & thickness determined by Australian Standard AS1288. Maximum glass thickness is 10.38mm. Glass can be retained by face putty, screw on or clip on bead methods.
HARDWARE
Pivot windows as standard use frictionless pivot hinges. Vertical Pivot windows with frictionless pivot hinges rely on sliding or peg stays as hold open devices. Horizontal Pivot windows with frictionless pivot hinges use peg stays or spring catches with a rope cord to tie off the sash in the required position. Friction pivot hinges are also an option where the hinge is centrally mounted on the sash and the friction in the hinge holds the sash in position. Locking is keyed level lock as standard.
FINISHES
Steel window frames are hot dip galvanized as standard and do not require painting for corrosion protection. However, their appearance is greatly enhanced by special polyurethane paint colours applied on site by appropriate contractors after installation is completed.
INSTALLATION
Steel windows are suitable for fixing into all standard construction details. The perimeter section can be varied to suite all masonry and concrete wall construction details. More specialised construction including steel sub-frames can also be accommodated. Mechanical fixing via fixing lugs and dynabolts is most common. Where building construction is suitable dynabolt fixing through the perimeter frame is an option.
