In 1994 the Austral Monsoon Group purchased Rivers Locking Systems. The Rivers business began in 1926 and manufactures a wide range of physical security products including 2 and 4 point locks for hinged doors, heavy door security door packages (including steel door frames, steel sheeted timber doors and multiple point locking systems), roller shutter locks, anti-ram barriers and barrier frames, security gates and security grilles.
Robust physical barriers are an essential part of any overall building security system. Electronic surveillance on its own will not provide adequate security protection. Substantial physical barriers act as a deterrent due to the amount of time, noise and effort to breach these barriers. Increasing the time for vandals to gain access to a building allows time for security personnel to react to alarms activated by electronic systems and reach remotely monitored areas or premises.
The Rivers philosophy is to provide obvious and substantial perimetre physical security that will deter and / or frustrate unathorised access. Should constraints exist in relation to perimetre security Rivers will provide heavy duty internal physical security to protect areas of high risk loss or disruption.
Rivers specialise in manufacturing custom made products to suit specific security needs. Our sales and design staff work closely with our clients to provide a security solution for the particular site or situation.
Rivers has designed and developed products to suit special needs or applications. For example, locking devices for poker machines, vending machines and cash storage. We also supply specialty lock products for motor vehicles including locks for vans with sliding doors and pantech trucks that have hinged doors.
Our products are of the highest quality and are manufactured by us in Australia. We can provide a range of colour finishes through our in house powder coat paint line.
Rivers has had a long association with Government institutions and large corporate clients.
