Steel Roller Shutters

Roller shutters were new to the market when, in 1923, Austral Roller Shutters Pty Ltd was founded, making roller shutters from redwood and steel. The years have seen older materials like redwood make way for new. Now aluminium, glass and acrylics are used by Austral Monsoon engineers engaged in research and development projects to widen shutter design frontiers.

New technology is used to make larger and more efficient shutters - many of which are tested through our sophisticated computer programs. We use computer aided design programs extensively in our research and development process seeking to improve the strength and efficiency of our products. Aluminium shutters can now span widths in excess of nine metres in routine applications. Steel shutters are made even larger to accommodate large machinery used in Australia's expanding mining and commercial industries. These are major commercial projects and they will increase in scope as new design parameters are developed. The Austral Monsoon Group will be at the forefront of these product advances.

Steel Roller Shutter Types

  1. H10 - These shutters are used extensively for small doorways, conuteres, hatches, etc.
  2. H11 - Typical areas of application are school cantens, kiosks, changerooms, groundsmen's sheds. soil sheds and other sites which because of their secluded nature, are an obvious target for mischief makers.
  3. H12 - These shutters are used extensively for openings requiring a robust steel shutter.
  4. H13 - Designed to withstand the wear and tear of industrial and busy commercial applications these shutters are sutiable for small to medium sized openings, such as loading dokcs, warehouses, garages, factories, etc.
  5. H14 - Designed to withstand the wear and tear of industrial and busy commercial applications these shutters are sutiable for small to medium sized openings, such as loading dokcs, warehouses, garages, factories, etc.

    extra large industrial installations.
