Aluminium Stormglaze is an aesthetically pleasing aluminium louvre window designed for use in conjunction with other architectural aluminium window and door systems in high quality commercial, institutional and residential building projects. This louvre system, when integrated with mechanical air conditioning, provides a solution for those seeking optimal energy and environmental targets. It has been designed to comply with AS2047-1999 and tested to AS4420.0-6-1996 for air and water infiltration.
Features
Extruded aluminum frame is designed to integrate with other standard commercial suites and standard sub-head and sub-sill extrusions. its profile has removable fins to allow for several fixing options.
Concealed blade control linkages are fabricated from aluminium and designed to provide high security and an extended operating life.
Extruded aluminum blades provide for varying blade heights from 350mm to 550mm for opening widths up to 2500mm.
Blade glazing is fully enclosed by the aluminium frame and can accept glazing material thicknesses up to 13mm. Glazing can be by way of glass, acrylic or solid infill. The method of glazing using a glazing bead means repairs and maintenance are a simple process.
Opening to 85 degrees, the blades will provide up to 86% free airflow with opening and closing controlled by either manual pull handle, manual winder or electric operator. Logic controls can be used to operate the louvres using a variety of environmental sensors (eg temperature, UV radiation, wind speed).
Perimeter weather seals comprise dual weather seals to the frame head, blade jambs and overlapping meeting stiles. This, together with head and sill flashings, provides excellent protection against water penetration and air infiltration (AS2047-1999).
Durable construction makes this system suitable for use in all locations, including those at altitude and in cyclonic regions.
Finish can be either anodised or Austral Monsoon factory applied powdercoat, including non-standard high-durability extended-warranty applications.
Range of components and accessories including structural mullions, horizontal transoms, cover plates, security bars and screens, flyscreens, and optional catches handles and locks.
