Steel Stormglaze is a high durability operable louvre manufactured using Galvabond, Zincalume or Zincanneal The design criteria was to create a wide-blade louvre ideal for use in cyclone prone areas of Australia and the Pacific region. The strength of this product also provides a formidable barrier to forced entry. This system has been tested in accordance with AS2047-1999 and AS4420.0-6-1996.
Features
Folded 100mm steel frame designed to suit all building applications and integrate with a range of building materials for simplicity in design and construction.
Controlled blade opening to 85 degrees allows this louvre to deliver up to 82% free airflow with opening and closing controlled by either manual pull handle, manual winder or electric operator. Logic controls can be used to operate the louvres using a variety of environmental sensors (eg temperature, UV radiation, wind speed).
Dual jamb seals and single horizontal blade seals combined with integrated head and sill flashings provide excellent water-shedding, and when fully closed meet the requirements of AS2047-1999 or air in i tration on nonair-conditioned buildings.
Choice of blade material including glass, polycarbonate, metal panels or up to 13mm cyclone resistant glass.
Range of modular sizes available in eight standard heights from 500mm to 3300mm and variable width to 2400mm. Designers may choose large width units to create an economical ventilation system.
